Is Microsoft Movie Maker Videos Able to Be Uploaded on Youtube

I have Movie Maker version 2012, which came every bit part of Windows Essentials that I downloaded only yesterday.

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

As I've only had Windows Essentials & hence Movie Maker since yesterday, this is all new to me.

This is also the first video I've attempted to make besides.

Having tried many & diverse things, I've discovered that it's a Microsoft signing in problem.

I have successfully published the video via Vimeo & discovered upon irresolute my Microsoft account details, that for some strange reasoning, Windows Essentials is grouped into apps & therefore needs a separate app countersign. However, when I've attempted to follow Microsoft'south guide instructions to adapt this separate password, they don't make sense, in so much as when I sign in to my Microsoft account, I cannot so select 'Password and security info' as information technology isn't in that location! Despite much trial and error, I find information technology impossible to arrange this separate app password for Windows Essentials and am therefore thwarted from existence able to publish to You Tube it seems.

I have used MovieMaker for years and have MANY videos uploaded. Today I tried to upload a new one. (Actually, it's a revised old one, but YouTube doesn't let me alter a video once it's uploaded... Notwithstanding another issue.) I can't log into YouTube from MovieMaker. I have inverse my Microsoft, Google and YouTube passwords with no success. What the heck is going on?

Deplorable to hear of your issues Lorna but thanks for responding to my postal service every bit I'd given up on publishing a You Tube video. However, thank you to your response, I now realise that I've upgraded to W 10 Bone since my original mail hither, so at that place'southward a very small risk that might make a difference eh?

I don't hold out much hope though equally information technology's taken me 15mins just to exist able to sign in here to respond to your response!

I'll requite Microsoft their off-white credit though, their security measures are probably the toughest I've e'er come across!

I'm not going to retry making a movie & publishing it on Yous Tube just however though, I need to exist in a really potent place & take all my wits fully sharpened before I attempt that feat! :)

Hope your situation resolves itself, every bit it seems there's non much help for us coming via this post.

I finally just uploaded the file direct to YouTube by using the "Upload" push. Much faster, but I had to leave MovieMaker to practice it.

Glad to hear you lot've plant a way to publish on Yous Tube Lorna.

Does rather brand a mockery of Film Maker's Y'all Tube link though eh? :)
